AspiGurl started creating these comics in 2018 to counter the typical ableist posts during Autism Awareness Month. Teaming up with her husband, wtframecomics, the illustrator, they began posting daily comics for April and continued the project. Their goal is to break stereotypes and provide content that resonates with autistic individuals. AspiGurl explains, “One of the biggest motivations is to give other autistic people content to relate to and illustrations that express their experiences.”
