In our last interaction in 2021, Daniel had just published his first comic post. We were curious about any changes in his creative process since then. Daniel explained that he has become more attuned to what kinds of comics elicit a good reaction, though he acknowledges that not every idea works out. Some ideas are set aside until he finds the right way to make them work. Artistically, Daniel has been experimenting with more vivid colors to help his comics stand out and develop a recognizable style. He finds it enjoyable to be less strict about realism in his work.

Like many artists, Daniel faces challenges, including maintaining consistency in posting on social media. While he is good at keeping his website updated, he still feels nervous about sharing his work on social media, despite having done so hundreds of times. He grapples with the stress of how his posts will be received, although he rarely receives negative comments. Daniel often reminds himself that his work is appreciated and worth sharing, even if he takes occasional breaks from social media.
Among the comics Daniel has created, he considers “A Perfect Shot” his favorite. This comic, which follows a light particle traveling from a distant star to Earth, exemplifies the kind of visual poetry and wordplay he aims for. It was his first comic to receive widespread attention on social media, and he remains grateful for the support and feedback it garnered.

Looking ahead, Daniel is excited about the prospect of creating longer comics. He hopes to find the time to pursue this, recognizing that while longer comics can tell great stories, they also present a daunting challenge. As he expands his repertoire, Daniel aims to incorporate dark comic strips, comics with dark endings, and absurd comic elements, maintaining his signature style that blends dark humor comics with visually striking storytelling.
