Dogmodog Comics returns with another dose of quirky amusement! Dogmo, the creative genius behind these cartoons, specializes in absurd and dark humor, delivering unexpected twists that are sure to make you laugh out loud. In a recent interview, Dogmo shared, “I don’t create comics based on my own life, so people are drawn to the unpredictability.”
A new comic is like setting off on an adventure for Dogmo. He finds inspiration in a mild state of inebriation and a touch of sadness. “I start by sketching crude drawings of injured Ninja Turtles, like wheelchair-bound Raph or paraplegic Leonardo. These rituals unlock my creativity.”

Contrary to popular belief, Dogmo’s comics rarely reflect his reality. “Despite what’s shown, I’ve never had encounters with Santa or been peed on by a dog,” he clarified. “Nor have I been pulled over by a dog, visited hell or heaven, or had bizarre experiences like catching my dad using shower drain hair as a toupee.”

Navigating the creative process is a puzzle for Dogmo. The most challenging part involves ritualistic sacrifices for inspiration, “each more intense than the last.” And let’s not forget the struggle of remembering to keep his iPad charged! On the bright side, Dogmo finds joy in the attention he receives for his webcomics.

He craves validation from sharing his work online. “Both kind and critical comments are a delight. I particularly enjoy when debates spark in the comment section.” As for being mistakenly tagged in dog photos due to his name, Dogmo encourages it. “I’m more of a cat person.”
