Kim Winder – the backless artist Aka The RedDot Comics Kim: as much a legend in her own mind! Skillen’s often boundary-pushing storylines are unrestricted, she says proudly. I just kind of write if I think something’s funny or if drawing it out helps me cathartically. “Most of comics are about women being s*e*-positive and normalizing that,” she says.
If you are not already familiar with the works of Kim, you’re in for a hilarious but also exhilarating ride down comedy lane full of funny comics for laughs and webtoons that will have laughter crying on this side and so much more!

So we caught up with Kim again to get her thoughts on what had changed since last time. “Not a whole bunch. My comics are so awesome, in fact: I go one day at a time on whatever makes me laugh or whatever I feel like making! Kim said, “More recently I have been dabbling in turning some of my comics into little animations which is extremely enjoyable.
If you were to ask Kim, though, she has her own opinion on the essence of the theme surrounding her cartoons: “I describe my comics as adult humor fueled with innuendo, parody and an odd sentimentality that can only manifest itself within a series where someone talks through their butt plug.”

As Kim herself is a bit NSFW, we asked her what other friends and family make of the saucy nature of some comics. Kim answered, “They are so supportive of me and proud of my career.” However, there are certain things we avoid talking about. I mean my grandma probably doesn’t even know what the hell a Gary is. Finally, we asked Kim for her advice to baby cartoonists wondering what their voice and niche audience constitute. And she answered, “Persistent and consistent. It is so difficult to make sense of social media algorithms these days, but just stay true to yourself and keep digging that voice out and you will find your humans.

Kim told me what she hopes readers will get from her comics. I hope I will make someone laugh or more feel seen. That women are se*ual beings and sex can be hilarious, not a secret or a dirty word. However, how far do we have to go? “Honestly, I hope that they had a good time.
Kim eventually just gives thanks, “Thanks you guys for reading my comics. I find it really cool that I can relate to people from other parts of the world for something we have in common. It means so much to me.”
