We have finally realized that happiness may lie in some of the small everyday moments that make up our daily routines.
These seemingly mundane moments are captured in the comic drawings of Lome, an artist of beauty, humor, and magic. The Cutie Station, “A Slice of Everyday Street Life,” uses her degree in animation and illustration and the inherited love for visual arts from her father to produce comics that tell the cuteness, irony, and love in every moment on the street. She shared these with only a few close friends but was prompted to post them on Instagram by a friend.

Lome states that she pulls inspiration many times from trying moments, as she takes light of them making others, and herself, laugh. “My main message is trying my best to find humor in a bad situation and hopefully make someone else happy, too,” she reveals. It’s amazing how relatable and engaging her daily life can be when depicted in her charming, anime-inspired style. It adds a touch of lightness and makes her cartoons even more laughable (pun intended).

I find that since I have been out less, I haven’t had as much time to sit and draw. In fact, normally, I draw a lot on the train: it’s quiet and helps me concentrate.”Like all of us, she cannot wait to get back to life again and continue making her fantastic webcomics.

Still, Lome keeps churning out a new comic each week because it’s become a normal Sunday routine for her. She has worked her way up to currently having attracted 12,700 Instagram fans.
