Recalling her creative process on being asked, Sabin said:
“Sometimes rather relating ideas for art come to me naturally—often in the middle of the night, wherein I will hastily scramble for a pen and paper to jot it down. Other times, I seek it actively. Once I get an idea, I start to draw comics with a pencil until satisfied with the output. Not always perfect, though, and many times, I have to erase and begin over again.”

Nothing short-drawish about Sabin’s doodles. According to her, it would take three to six hours to finish a comic, mainly because of the intricacies of the idea. Though all of the funny creations are funny in their ways, one of her favorites is the “before and after shower”. She felt very much comfortable with her relatable art drawing style working on that piece.

Although she takes inspiration from many artists, Sabin credits a certain cartoonist as one who has made a significant impact in her journey. “Will Terrell, the cartoonist, inspired me very much. I came across his YouTube videos seven years ago, and his advice helped me evolve and improve my style of drawing comics.” Sabin believes that though it might be arduous to discover a voice amidst so many influences, constant practice and commitment to personal work are ways through which a distinct style of relatable illustrations can be developed.

Like any artist, Sabin goes through some instances of creative blocks. For her to get past them, she finds that moving away from the drawing and doing something that is unconcerned about drawing helps. “Taking a walk, working out, or even cleaning the house helps clear my mind and sparks new ideas.”
